New Home Warranty Inspection

Get Settled In Your New Home

Make sure you have a Two Peaks home inspector look at your home before your new home warranty expires. Our inspector will examine your home’s structure, mechanical and electrical systems to identify defects and other problems. Have our experienced home inspector make sure that your home was built to building and safety standards.

Book Your Inspection Before Expiry

There’s a lot to think about when you purchase a new home. Settling in, perhaps enjoying a new neighbourhood, new amenities. Landscaping your new yard. But it’s important to remember that many of the items that are covered in a new home warranty expire 12 months after possession. There are some exceptions. Leaky basements? You’ve got two years for that. And major structural issues are covered usually for seven years. But most of the things covered in that new home warranty need to be addressed within 12 months of possession.

So at some point after you’ve settled in (at least 30 days after possession) and before 12  months is up, book a New Home Warranty Inspection with us. We’ll make sure that everything is in order and that new home really was built as well as it seemed to be when you moved in.

Don’t Miss Out on Free Repairs

It’s true: if you don’t report deficiencies in your new home before the expiration of your new home warranty, you potentially miss out on your builder taking responsibility for the repairs. A new home warranty will highlight any issues and impartially categorize them as either the builder’s or owner’s responsibility. We will help you prioritize any work that needs to be done, and also take care to look for any health or safety concerns.

You don’t want to have issues with your new home. But taking the necessary steps to ensure that everything in your new home is in order is the responsible and sane thing to do. If you miss those deadlines, you’re out of luck.
